With smoking bans coming into effect from May 1, controversy and unpredictability seem to take a full swing.
Michigan will become the 38th state to impose a ban on smoking in public places, such as restaurants, bars, government buildings, workplaces and bowling alleys.
The Michigan House and Senate issued the bill on Dec. 10 — which was reportedly signed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm — to clear off smoking in public places.
